Fuel Import Process
Date of Print: January 21, 2019
The fuel import process has undergone a significant redesign to give users greater control over the importing of fuel. Fuel is now initially imported into a Batch using the Manage Imported Purchase Receipts window where users can review and correct any import problems prior to creating the actual receipt(s) in Fleet Manager.
This change has allowed us to ensure every transaction in the fuel file is displayed to the user prior to receipts being created, so that users can validate each transaction. Any transactions that are determined to be invalid or irrelevant within Fleet Manager can be modified or deleted before creating receipts.
Users can also define a set of rules to apply to each batch before creating receipts. This new rule functionality gives users much greater control over the application of overrides and deductions.
NOTE: if you were using fuel overrides/deductions prior to these enhancements the previous setup will be migrated to rules automatically. Please review the migrated rules for accuracy before processing your rules the first time.
Once a batch has been reviewed and rules have been applied users can Post a Batch to have the receipts created according to the rules that have been applied.
