You can work with you system administrator to be removed from the office, this will mean that you no longer get alerts going forward.
If you have enabled alerts, then removed them for yourself, you will continue to get the alerts for the orders that existed when you turned them off until all the orders have been dealt with. Removing yourself from alerts will only take affect on new orders.
