A: To use workflow you will need some means of recording the latitude and longitude co-ordinates (Geocodes) of the locations in your database. PC*Miler, PeopleNet and Isaac can all be used as geocode providers but Google Maps is what most people are familiar with.
To sign up for a Google API, you must enter a credit card number in your Google account. However, Google currently provides a $200 per month credit and then charges $0.005 per lookup thereafter. This means you can make 40 000 lookups before being charged for API lookups. You will only have to geocode (lookup) each location in your database once. Additionally you can activate a setting within your Google account to generate an alert when approaching any defined limits. The latest versions of Fleet Manager also contain tools to help you manage your Google API settings and usage from within the software.
